How many things can you do with production waste?

Well, besides trying to reutilize it in a virtuous production process, we have discovered that it can be transformed into a language that helps a brand better present itself.

This … “creative language” is called Repap.

Let’s start at the beginning.

At Packaging Premiere 2023, we met a group of creatives and designers who invented a system that brings together their manual skills and creativity with new digitalisation techniques.

The result? Graphic patterns that are created from production waste and become a brand’s proprietary language.

So we decided to collaborate with them by supporting and promoting them during our participation in FabrikStart 2023 in Munich, so as to give them a bit more visibility.

The creative process can be summarised with this simple method

1. We supplied the Repap team with a box of our textile production waste. They analysed, touched and stacked it together to create inventive combinations.

2. We selected a combination (very hard to do because of the beauty of all of them)

3. Starting from our selection, graphic modules were developed and, after being replicated, they became actual textures with multiple variations

4. We used a graphic design to give character to our stand in Munich and we created an original tote (with a label explaining the Repap project) to be distributed
